Bedtime Story with Mrs. Duncan

Join Mrs. Duncan for a bedtime snack, some soothing music and a sweet story before your little one drifts off to dreamland. Cookies and milk will be sent home with your child for you to enjoy together. After snack, Mrs. Duncan will read “Because” author Mo Willems and illustrations by Amber Ren. Pajamas and stuffed animals/bedtime buddies are welcome!

Tea Party with Ms. LaMountain

Thursday, May 6 | 5:00-5:30 pm | via Zoom

Cost: $15 / family (limit 12 families)

Host: Christie LaMountain

Children can wear fancy hats and bring a stuffed animal to enjoy this virtual “Tea Party” with Ms. LaMountain. Ms. LaMountain will read a story and send a simple art project to complete the fun. A tea-time snack (lemonade and cookies) will be sent home with your child to enjoy. Adults and siblings are welcome to join in.

Room 25 Class Reunion

Join Mrs. Reed, Mrs. Bell and your friends from Room 25 for a class date. Play in the Inside Room and the Outside Room, hear a great story, create a special take home craft, decorate a frame for the class memory photo we will take, play Statue Garden, have a super snack and end the day on the playground or in the gym, if it is raining. It will be so fun to be together again.

Movement & Music with Mrs. Egan

Get ready to sing, play and move with your little one in this musical play date! Join Mrs. Egan (one of our Twos teachers and a certified Kindermusik educator) as we wiggle and giggle and play...all in a musical way. Zoom invite will be sent the day before class with a general description and information for participants.

Bedtime Story with Ms. Raines

Ms. Raines will send your little one off to dreamland in style over Zoom. To begin, each family will receive some delicious hot cocoa mix for a little pre bedtime treat. The participants will enjoy the cocoa together and then Ms. Raines will read a soothing bedtime story to get everyone ready for bed. Sweet Dreams!

Cooking with Mr. Nied

Hosts: Chris Nied

Join Mr. Nied and cook marble muffins together virtually! For this sign-up party, the recipe calls for eggs, butter, flour and fun! Actual recipe will be provided in June. Parental supervision will be required. Join us for a fun and delicious afternoon.

Room 26 Class Reunion

FUNS is the “perfect spot” for a Class Reunion Picnic. Pack your picnic blanket and join your teachers and Room 26 friends for an afternoon of relay races, crafting, yummy treats and make a yearbook-worthy memory to cherish. 

Alpha Club Outdoor Adventure

Join Mrs. Thurman, Mrs. Marcano and your Alpha Club friends for a class reunion in Thatcher Woods, where we’ll explore our natural world and the creatures that inhabit it. Alpha Club members will get dropped off in the parking lot behind the Trailside Museum. We’ll check out the plants, animals and trails, and do a messy science experiment or two. Wear your all-weather grubbies and sturdy shoes! 

Mt. Etna Wine Tasting with Anfora Wine Merchants

Hosts: Anfora Wine Merchants and Fran Knechel

Taste and learn about Mt. Etna wines with Adrian of Oak Park’s Anfora Wine Merchants. We’ll try a white, red, and rosé wine in this class. Wine-tasting portion will be about 30 minutes and you’ll have the option to stay on and sip and hang out with other First United families. Wine pick-up at Anfora 4/15 – details on the registration page. 

Adult Painting Party

Hosts: Emerson Elizabeth Doody, art graduate student and Jen Wuest

Parents’ night in! Join other FUNS friends virtually for a night of painting! Learn how to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art for your home or office. Graduate Student of Art, Emmerson Doody, will lead the group step-by-step. Supplies to be picked up at FUNS prior to event.
